Amber Pietenpol is an Event Manager at the Overland Park Convention Center. She began her career in hospitality in 2017 and has since served in many different roles that have continued to broaden her passion in the industry. In 2022, she joined the convention center team.

Amber achieved the acclaimed Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Events Industry Council in 2023. This distinguished credential, recognized throughout the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry, demonstrates an individual’s comprehensive knowledge of meeting management as well as a commitment to the profession.

Amber graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management. With her rich background in hospitality, she has garnered extensive experience from various hotels and venues in Nebraska before finding her home in Kansas City.

In her off time, you’ll likely find Amber supporting Nebraska Huskers Women’s Volleyball or passionately cheering for the US Women’s National Soccer, often in the company of her dog, Marley.
