Allie Glidewell, CMP is an Event Manager at the Overland Park Convention Center. She began her career in hospitality in 2014 and has since served in many different roles that have continued to broaden her passion in the industry. In 2022, she joined the convention center team.

Allie achieved the acclaimed Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Events Industry Council (EIC) in 2023. This distinguished credential, recognized throughout the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry, demonstrates an individual’s comprehensive knowledge of meeting management as well as a commitment to the profession.

Allie graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Post-graduation, she spent her time working in Hays where she discovered her love of planning events to better the community.  

Allie is a ‘Big’ through Big Brothers Big Sisters—she and her ‘Little’ love exploring the Kansas City area together. In her downtime, you will find her baking or cozied up with a good book.
