An Eco-Friendly Environment
OPCC may be a fantastic event venue, but it’s a green venue too. Environmental health is a priority for us; the City of Overland Park has been gracious enough to aid us in our eco-efficiency goals.
The OPCC team works to ensure that all parts of the convention center are eco-friendly. We use environmentally safe cleaning products and energy-conserving lights. We compost, and when available, we buy food from local farmers and growers. We even collaborate with Pete’s Garden, a local food recovery organization to reduce our food waste!

Conference rooms could be a great place to host your event. We have one executive conference room, the Pipes Boardroom, that would be perfect for any important business meeting. We also have a whole host of Courtyard Rooms that will serve your needs as well.
Our Courtyard Rooms are the perfect meeting spaces, and since they sit on the Lowest Level, your clients won’t have any trouble finding you and your team. Available in different sizes and customizable to fit your needs, Courtyard Rooms are ideal for a variety of gatherings.
During the Kansas City spring, summer, and fall, you can hold your meeting in the great outdoors! We have a selection of beautiful outdoor areas for your workshop. Our courtyard is 25,000 square feet, enough room for lots of different events. The area is lush and modern; the perfect backdrop for a meeting, lunch, or wedding.
Our ballrooms are perfect for even the classiest of affairs. The ballroom is expansive, with ceilings reaching up to 30 feet high. The ballroom could be a great place to hold a conference, especially if you’ve got a speaker that can fill hundreds of seats. You don’t have to be limited by the size of your gathering.
Lots of people picture a bustling trade show when they think of a convention center’s exhibition hall, but our space is extremely versatile.
At a staggering 60,000 square feet, our exhibition hall could be a great place to entertain vendors and attendees alike at an industry-wide event. You won’t have to worry about limited rooms or cramped seating. You can invite dozens of people and still have room to spare.
Know of an event that could benefit from an award-winning venue? Overland Park Convention Center offers a referral program that allows anyone to recommend an event! If everything works out and we host the event as planned, you could be entitled to a reward of up to 10% of the event’s profits. Think of it as sort of a “finder’s fee.” We host all kinds of events, so contact our sales department by phone or email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Once the event ends, we’ll send you a check with your payment.
