George Middleton is the Director of Operations at the Overland Park Convention Center. He has been with the convention center since 2002, where he started as the Operations Manager when the building first opened.

As a member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), George is a distinguished graduate of both the Venue Management School and the Academy for Venue Safety and Security.

George graduated from Kansas State University with two degrees: one in Electronic Engineering and the other in Technology Management. Although he now calls Kansas City home, George’s roots trace back to Panama City, Florida, before he became a devoted K-State Wildcat.

He and his wife, RaeAnn, raised three daughters, Kasey, Taylor, and Haley, and now enjoy being grandparents to three little ones. In his leisure time, George finds solace in exploring music and broadening his musical palette. A little-known fact about him is that he has had the unique experience of living in both France and Germany.
